Become a Team Leader for Sto Gran Tour - Call 01-2023

Sto Gran Tour is looking for new Team Leaders to join our team.

Our Team Leaders are carefully selected people—experienced men and women from different backgrounds—who choose to dedicate their lives to travel.

Being a Team Leader means being a responsible point of reference, able to coordinate a trip both logistically and technically, without the support of a local Tour Operator. It’s not just about managing timings and accompanying a group, as in classic organized tours: a Sto Gran Tour Team Leader is a specialized traveler and has—or must be willing to develop—specific skills: off-road driving and transport know-how, knowledge of geography and geopolitics, understanding of animal behavior, and basic survival techniques (such as knowing how to calculate the provisions needed before crossing a desert).

Minimum requirements:

• Travel experience and the ability to relate to different cultures;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills with people;
• Basic mechanical knowledge;
• Adaptability to any context;
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level, demonstrable;
• Driver’s license, with off-road and ice-driving skills;
• Age between 25 and 35.

It’s a PLUS:

• Tour leader or hiking guide certification;
• A university degree—in any field;
• Wild camping experience and basic survival knowledge;
• Filming/photography techniques;
• Organizational/project planning skills;
   

Who we’re looking for:

• Freelance professionals with a VAT number, including those with an established career in another field;
• People available for at least 10 weeks per year, not necessarily consecutive, to be agreed in advance;
• People who fall in love with our project and want to become part of the Sto Gran Tour family;

Who we are NOT looking for:

• Anyone who thinks that “leading groups = getting free holidays every now and then”;
• Anyone with a tour leader certification but without the requirements listed above;
• Anyone who is bald. Just because.

• Gross compensation starting from approximately €25,000 for the expected level of commitment. The final amount will depend on the Team Leader’s experience and number of travel days;

Selection process

• The selection process will last 2 months. Chosen candidates will complete one year of field training, working alongside other Team Leaders.

1. Candidates must submit their application (by February 10, 2023);
2. Applications will be reviewed by our team;
3. We will conduct 2 interviews: one short introductory interview online and one in person at our Turin office (by March 2023);
4. Selected candidates will take part in a first training trip (date to be defined).
