Safari Sto Gran Tour

Here's what we believe in (and maybe you do too)

People traveling
1
We travel to become more
How much more? More!
A trip can and should be a real life experience. This isn't some motivational mumbo jumbo. It means miles, transfers, maps, mud, dust, frozen butts, sweaty backs, pitched tents, spotted lions and shared sunsets. We travel to get dirty, get scraped up and become more.

Overtourism sucks
Travel has to create value, for those who leave and for those who stay.
We don't take you to every corner of the world, because some places don't need to be invaded. They need rest, respect and distance. We only go where our footprints leave value. That's why every year we close some routes if we think it's necessary, and open new ones. Traveling is a privilege, not a right.

Viral destinations are a pain in the butt
We won't take you to that alley Instagrammed by 10 million people.
We're not interested in having you take the same photo everyone else took, in the same spot, at the same time. A trip isn't a destination to consume. We'd rather get lost in a local market, follow a trail nobody has tagged, talk to someone who's never heard the word “influencer”.

Social media and the sharing obsession, too
Travel is for those who are present, not for those who are online.
Ugh, enough with social media and travel blogging, can we say that? On a trip with us you can even switch your phone off, nobody will judge you. The connection that matters is the one with the people next to you and the place you're in. You'll tell the whole story when you get back, over a beer, with the laundry still to do (there's always time for that).

Nature is the boss
Its rhythms become ours.
If it rains, we wash. If the elephants hit traffic on their way to the waterhole, we wait. If night falls fast, we pitch the tent right where we are. Sometimes nature slows us down, gets us dirty, puts us to the test. When we stop trying to control it and start listening to it, that's where the magic is.

Get your hands dirty
But do it with people who know where to put their feet.
Living a real adventure doesn't mean putting yourself in danger. Our team leaders are travelers who studied to become certified tour leaders, safari rangers and mountain guides. If there's a problem, we solve it. If we can't, we find a way. And hey, if there really is no way… ruuuun!!!

We call you by your name
Because we make trips retail, not wholesale.
We couldn't care less about making our trips scalable and repeatable for a gazillion people. Our travelers are few, good and just right. We know who you are and what you dream of experiencing on the trip we're about to take together. You'll never feel like one of the crowd, because we look after every single departure in detail: no group is ever the same as another.

So what are our trips like?

Illustrated banana
Trips that are life experiences
We're looking for people who don't travel to collect passport stamps and fridge magnets, but to discover, get to know and learn to live this gran, wonderful chaos that is the world.
Illustrated banana
Trips that help you grow
In the face of everyone who doubted you: you'll discover something new about who you are, how well you can adapt, push yourself and live without a toilet.
Illustrated banana
Trips that are mindful
Put like that, how boring! But then you find out how great it is to get to know instead of visiting, to meet instead of just going, to live stories instead of snapping photos.

We have a travel philosophy

In a few words: we travel to get dirty, get scraped up and become more. In a lot of words, there's this video.
