Safari Sto Gran Tour

Sto Gran Comedy Tour, the first travel comedy tour

Introducing the «Sto Gran Comedy Tour», the first travel-themed stand-up show that gives a voice to travel stories far away from social media. Sto Gran Tour will hit the road with a comedy tour, stopping at the coolest venues in Italy’s youngest and most vibrant cities, with the aim of sharing stories peeled straight from the world.

What are “peeled stories”?! Peeled stories are all those experiences you live while traveling and can’t wait to tell when you get back: emotions, unexpected events, comic scenes, or last-minute changes of plan. They are slightly scuffed moments that make a trip personal and delightfully imperfect. They are TRUE travel stories, lived by travelers who don’t love packaged, artificial, polished adventures, but rather those life experiences that stay with you forever.

Let’s close Instagram Stories and go back to telling stories live: when travelers rebel against digital

In a world where digital dominates the scene, the concept of travel has undergone a radical transformation. No longer just a personal and deeply transformative experience, travel has become a ritual of public sharing, a form of digital exhibitionism encouraged by the virtual stage of social media to display these experiences.

This perfect and captivating display hides a fundamental question: has travel really become synonymous with self-celebration, rather than a moment of personal and emotional discovery? And at what cost?

«The photos filling our Instagram feeds often look more like a catalog of places visited or travel stories shared to monetize results, rather than a genuine account of lived experiences,» says Gabriele Saluci, Rai documentary filmmaker and founder of Sto Gran Tour, a tour operator aimed at a young audience. «To be clear,» he adds, «there is nothing wrong with wanting to capture moments and share them with others. Photography and video are wonderful art forms, just as sharing is one of the strongest and most inspiring feelings ever!».

The problem arises when sharing becomes more important than the experience itself, when the search for engaging content, for content that might perform well, takes precedence over living in the moment. And this is where the young tour operator had an idea: let’s go back to talking about travel the way people used to, through the most human and ancient method in the world: stories, far from Stories, offline.

Peeled stories: the art of imperfection in the travel experience

After this saturation of digital perfection, there is a growing need to rediscover the authenticity of imperfection, especially when it comes to travel.

«We wanted to tell these emotions through the most human and ancient method in the world: stories. But not the polished kind we’ve now become used to... live stories!» adds Erica Rossi, co-founder of the small tour operator rebelling against social media.

When we immerse ourselves in a new culture, we make mistakes, get lost, try foods we don’t like, run into language barriers, and much more. These moments, although they may seem like failures, unexpected setbacks, or disruptions to what we had planned, are actually essential to our journey of personal growth.

Peeled stories are exactly this: a celebration of all the imperfections of a trip, the very traits that make it unique and unforgettable. Maybe the weather wasn’t perfect, or the hotel wasn’t what you expected, or that damned plate of ceviche wrecked your stomach. But maybe that’s exactly what made your trip a little scuffed, and so completely yours?
