Do you want to become a Sto Gran Tour Team Leader?

Sto Gran Tour is looking for new Expedition Leaders to join our team.

Our Expedition Leaders are carefully selected people—men and women with expertise in different fields—who choose to dedicate their lives to travel.

Being an Expedition Leader means being a responsible point of reference, capable of coordinating a trip both logistically and technically, without the support of a local tour operator. It is not just about managing timings and accompanying a group, as in classic organized tours: a Sto Gran Tour Expedition Leader is a specialized traveler and has, or must develop, specific skills: off-road driving and transport skills, knowledge of geography and geopolitics, understanding of animal behavior, and survival techniques (such as knowing how to calculate the supplies needed before crossing a desert).

Minimum requirements:

• Travel experience and the ability to relate to different cultures;
• Strong problem-solving skills, good interpersonal skills with people, basic mechanical knowledge, and adaptability to any context;
• English language proficiency, minimum level B2, demonstrable;
• Driver’s license, with off-road and ice-driving skills;
• Age between 25 and 35.

It’s a PLUS:

• A university degree, in any field;
• Wild camping experience and basic survival knowledge;
• Filming/photography techniques;
• Organizational/planning skills;

Who we’re looking for:

• Self-employed professionals with a VAT number, including those with an established career in another field;
• People available for at least 10 weeks per year, not necessarily consecutive, agreed in advance;
• People who fall in love with our project and want to become part of the Sto Gran Tour family;

Who we are NOT looking for:

• Anyone who thinks “leading groups = getting free holidays every now and then”;
• Anyone who has a tour leader certification but does not meet the requirements above;
• Anyone who is bald. Just because.

What we offer:

• Gross compensation starting from approximately €25,000 for the expected commitment. The final amount will depend on the Expedition Leader’s experience and travel days;

Selection steps

The selection process will last 2 months. Selected candidates will complete one year of on-the-job training, alongside other Expedition Leaders.

1. Candidates must submit their application (by December 31);
2. Applications will be reviewed by our team;
3. We will conduct 2 interviews: a short introductory online interview and an in-person interview at our Fuerteventura/Turin offices (by January 2022);
4. Selected candidates will take part in an initial training trip (date to be defined).
